Starting July 12th, PlayStation 3 gamers will be able to head to the store and pick up the PlayStation Move Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: Masters Bundle. The package is priced at $99 and includes Tiger Woods 12, the PlayStation Eye camera and one PlayStation Move controller.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence about picking up a Move for some reason or another, I highly suggest you consider this bundle. That goes double if you’re a fan of either golf titles or sports games in general. While Tiger Woods certainly isn’t for everyone, the Move integration makes this the best looking motion-based playing option in the title’s history. Given that, this one’s worth the price of entry.

PlayStation.Blog swoops in with the sales pitch, of course, but what they’re offering up isn’t at all far from the truth.

Combining realistic, high-definition gaming along with accurate and intuitive control, PlayStation Move translates your real golf swing into virtual in-game strokes, putting you in the game like never before. Now you can hit the links at the legendary Augusta National Golf Club and drive, chip and putt alongside the masters of the sport.

The only question I have for Sony here is why they waited so long to make this happen. Tiger Woods 12 launched back on March 29th of this year. They should have bundled the title with a Move from the start. Surely gamers and diehard golfers would have seen the deal and taken the dive back then.

More than that, Nintendo did what I suggested for Tiger Woods 10 with Wii MotionPlus. They launched that game, their new hardware and bundled them together on the same day. The move helped with both adoption and sales for the Wii MotionPlus add-on and the Wii version of Tiger Woods 10.

Still, like I said, if you’ve been waiting for a reason to pick up the Move, this is a decent one. Given, of course, your taste.
