American Airlines is going to be offering in-flight streaming to personal devices. With the service you’ll be able to purchase content from an in-flight library, and stream it to your computer, tablet, or mobile phone while you’re in the air using the plane’s built-in Wi-Fi.

The service is expected to launch this Fall, and will be available on all American Wi-Fi-enabled flights. American also plans to outfit its planes with PC plugs, that would allow you to charge your devices while you fly, for a cost of course.

What do you think about paying for streamed content while you’re in the air? Do you see yourself taking advantage of the service, or would you rather stick to the free options available on the back of the seats?
