Now you can video chat on your Android phone or tablet using Google Talk. Yesterday Google released Google Talk with video and voice chat for Android phones, an application that allows you to place video calls to friends and family from your Android phone to any other Android phone, as well as anyone running Gmail with Google Talk on their computer.

The application allows you to video chat, but also to text chat simultaneously with a contact, or switch back and forth between video and just voice chat. Google made a video (embedded above) showing how all this magic happens. Google Talk with video and voice chat will gradually roll out to Nexus S devices in the next few weeks as part of the Android 2.3.4 over-the-air update and will launch on other Android 2.3+ devices in the future.

What do you think about Google Talk with voice and video chat? Do you see yourself making video calls using the application?
